5月31日6时许 汉阳桥头，挂着特别通行证的采访车在汹涌人潮中如蚁前行。
桥面上，武汉船舶学院的学生们脚踏轮滑，接成长龙。他们兴奋地挥舞着手，高呼“中国加油、四川加油、湖北加油、武汉加油”。大桥上口号声顿时响成一片。
蛇山脚下，武汉音乐学院与湖北美术学院的大学生们隔着马路，打起擂台。音院的《义勇军进行曲》唱罢，美院的口号立马接上——红心中国、爱满人间；红动我心，祥瑞中国……热血沸腾中，身后火车的轰隆声几乎已经听不见了。
在黄鹤楼脚下的起跑仪式现场，每个人脸上都挂着喜庆。雄浑古朴的千古名楼之上，五星红旗与奥运五环旗舞出团团“祥云”。这一刻，武汉与奥运完美融和。
08:16 武珞路沿线 加油声越喊越激情
来自硚口区晨练队的200名队员，一大早就赶到了武昌。为了在交通管制之前到达，许多人5点就出发了。在火炬来临之前的等待中，她们在广场上跳起了新编的健身节目，伴着《龙船调》的音乐，她们整齐的红绿蓝的衣裙在人群中显得格外耀眼。
两岁半的李曲童，骑在奶奶的肩头上挥舞着小旗，就连小脸蛋上也贴满了国旗和奥运会旗。奶奶说，小家伙平时都是早上8点才起床，昨天晚上特意要奶奶叫他早起，还特别要求穿了一身红色背心。记者逗他：“你知道奥运会是干什么的吗？”小家伙扯起了嗓门：“给中国队加油！”
09:26 省博物馆 老外高呼“中国伟大”
来自尼泊尔的留学生比盖什在同学郭杨的陪同下，从放鹰台一直追随火炬队伍跑到了省博物馆。
“武汉的火炬接力真的太棒了，我与同学们计划全程跑下来。”他透露，“我们武汉大学医学院的好多留学生都上街了，大家都想一睹圣火传递的场面。”
“中国伟大，奥运伟大，这里的火炬接力是我看过最壮观的场面。”比盖什脸上贴着中国国旗，手里举着奥运会旗兴奋地说。
12:00 汉口江滩 我们就是来打气的
一大早，汉口沿江大道就成了一条“步行街”。
人头攒动中，1岁大的小姑娘李玥曈坐在婴儿车上，怡然自得。额头贴面小国旗，手腕上是奥运贴纸，左右手也没闲着，摇起了国旗与五环旗。
“我们一家四口是一大早从三阳北路，一路推着婴儿车走过来的。”李爸爸乐呵呵地说，“虽然年龄还太小，但我们还是想让她到现场来感受一下。毕竟这样的机会实在是太难得了！”似乎是听懂了爸爸的话，小玥曈灿烂地笑起来，舞动着手中的旗帜。
一路走着，市民们都是全副武装。高中生张穗与三位好朋友，上身的圣火传递文化衫，满是国旗、五环旗以及地震爱心贴纸，大大小小足有六七十个。
在武汉外校工作的五位美国朋友，也摇着五环旗与五星红旗，焦急等待圣火的来临。思贝琪说：“很高兴，没想到能在中国首次见到奥运圣火的传递。”
12时许，数十万市民开始撤离。他们中的绝大多数人都没能亲眼目睹圣火。60多岁的张婆婆说：“我们就是来打气的！”语气中虽有遗憾，但并无太多失望。

On the bridge, the students of Wuhan Institute of Shipbuilding Technology connect each other like a dragon with skates on their feet. They excitedly waving their hands and shouting “Come on, China! Come on, Sichuan! Come on Hubei! Come on, Wuhan!” to make the welkin ring with their cheers.

Foreign student Bill Gash from Nepal with his Chinese schoolmates Guo Yang followed torch team from Eagle Platform to Hubei Provincial Museum.
"The torch relay in Wuhan is really fantastic that my classmates and I plans to run the whole course down." He said, "Many foreign students of our Wuhan University School of Medicine all go out to see the torch relay."

12:00 Hankow Riverside we are here for cheering
Early in the morning, Hankow Yanjiang Avenue has been a "walking street".
The 1-year-old girl Li Yue Tong satisfactorily sit in a baby carriage with a little national flag stickers on her forehead, the Olympic stickers on the wrists and waving national flag and Olympic flag on hands in the crowd.
"On the early morning from Sanyang North Road, we pushed baby carriage come here all the way." father Li said happily, "she is too young, but we still want her been here to feel the atmosphere and not to miss the rare opportunity!" the little Yuetong smile brilliantly and wave the flags as if she understand what her father says.
