5月30日晚，奥运圣火从黄山抵达武汉，期待已久的武汉顿时欢呼沸腾。
5月31日至6月2日，奥运圣火在武汉、宜昌、荆州传递，荆楚大地无数儿女为之欢呼雀跃。
奥运的喜悦，通过624位湖北奥运火炬手，传递到武汉人乃至整个湖北人的心中。
在武汉，经由208名火炬手的激情传递，祥云火炬从黄鹤楼出发，途经首义广场、东湖放鹰台等名胜，穿过长江二桥，最终顺利抵达汉口江滩三峡石广场，将圣火盆点燃。传递路线全长20.7公里。
柳大华、李小双、陈静……以及你身边的某个普通人，都是奥运火炬手中的一员。

5月31号上午黄鹤楼前，当杨威从省委书记罗清泉手中接过火炬，他激动地高高举起，开始了圣火的传递。在从黄鹤楼主楼前的出发台跑向长江大桥的一路上，杨威不断挥舞着手臂，嘴里高呼着口号。可是，由于现场人声鼎沸，他的声音被淹没在欢呼的海洋中。

火炬接力时，你喊的是什么口号？
“当时特别激动，喊什么也记不太清楚了。好像是中国加油、奥运加油什么的吧。”
你带火炬去看望医院救治的灾区受伤儿童，感想如何？
记得临别的时候，孩子大声地叫道：“今年奥运会，你一定要再拿一次冠军！”我回答说：“好，拿了冠军，你要来看我，要好好的，一切都会好起来，我希望你奥运会之前就能好起来！”

You bring the torch to visit the injured children in disaster area, how do you think of it?
”I remember the children shouted and cried when I left: "This year the Olympics, you have to gold again!" and I replied: "well, you have to come to see me as I took the champion, to be good so everything will be better, I hope you will be able to get better before the Olympics! "

父子携手传圣火
火炬手：肖爱山、肖海亮
在一阵高过一阵的“中国加油”、“奥运加油”的激情呼喊中，两辆火炬手投放车缓缓驰到洪山广场。8时45分，悉尼奥运会3米板双人跳水冠军肖海亮，与曾担任省体育局局长的父亲肖爱山，从车上走下，同举一支火炬，不断向观众挥手致意。
10分钟后，父子俩神情庄重的从上一棒火炬手许国刚手中点燃火炬，然后两人同举火炬，向洪山广场马路两边的群众展示一番后，再携手共跑100米，将圣火传向下一个火炬手。
父子携手同传圣火，创下了北京奥运火炬国内传递活动中的一个第一。

“湖北两代体育人同传火炬，是一种光荣。与爸爸一起传圣火，很幸福，也非常开心。”在感受荣誉的同时，肖海亮更表示：“传递圣火，传递的是奥运精神。同时，我也希望将我们的爱心传给四川地震灾区人民，我们永远和他们一起携手共进。”
你会去北京看奥运吗？
当然，已经拿到奥运会开幕式的门票，也已经开始准备。我现在是个记者，要提前一段时间去北京，还要给《体育周报》等报纸写体育专栏。

In the passionate cheering of “come on, China, Come on, the Olympics” two cars with torchbearers in it has slowly arrived Hongshan Square. at8:45 am, Sydney Olympics three-meter doubles diving champion Xiao Hailiang and his father Xiao Aishan(former chief of the Hubei Sports Bureau) get off the car with a torch together to constantly waved to the audience.
10 minutes later, father and son with a solemn expression received torch from the former torchbearer, after show it to the crowd they hand in hand run a total of 100 meters way to the Hongshan Square.
Father-son duo in the torch relay is the first one in the domestic Beijing Olympic torch relay.

"The two generations in Hubei together relay the torch is a kind of glorious. 她曾经和很多体育运动员一样都有同一个梦想：想象有一天自己登上领奖台，胸前挂着奖牌，听着国歌奏响……
可在一次比赛中不慎摔伤造成高位截瘫，她的人生从此变得坎坷起来。
当她把自己的故事讲给火炬手选拔赛评委的时候，她感动了在场的所有人，自己的人生就像火炬传递，经过重重考验，最终到达奥林匹克。
5月31号董明参加的火炬接力，她实现了人生的一个梦想，参加残奥会是她另外的一个梦想，在今后的人生道路中，她还要扮演多个角色，但了解她的人一定知道，她会永远带着微笑。

在火炬接力的这段路程，你选择什么样的方式？
我只能坐轮椅进行火炬传递，但我在传递中高举一面五星红旗，结束后，我把红旗赠给医院里的灾区小朋友。
为迎接传递，你平时一定进行了练习吧？
因为身体的原因，我在年前便开始锻炼举2斤重的瓶子，来适应这次传递。
你会去北京看奥运吗？
会，一定会去。而且，我还希望自己能有机会在参加残奥会。

I can only relay the torch on wheelchair but I wave the five-star red flag all the way in torch relay, after that I send this red flag to children in hospitals in the disaster areas.
Have you ever practice for the torch relay in ordinary days?
I started to lift two bottles weighs 1 kg at the end of last year to adapt to the relay.
Will you go to Peking to see the Olympics?
Yes, certainly! Moreover, I also hope I can participate in the Paralympics Games.

“大胡子”作家只恨传递路程太短
火炬手：董宏猷
著名儿童文学作家董宏猷，是孩子们熟悉的“大胡子”叔叔。这次作为火炬手，他觉得自己是在代表孩子们跑向未来。“以前就觉得当火炬手是无上的荣誉，在汶川地震后觉得有了更多的责任。很多孩子还没来得及看到圣火，就去了另一个世界，这些孩子会在天堂注视着我们。”
圣火所到之处，到处是人山人海，场景让董宏猷激动万分：“事先我们都演练过如何交接，如何传递，用什么样的姿态奔跑，但是现场的热烈气氛让我忘记了一切的准备，所有的举动全部发自内心。只恨100米的距离太短，还来不及感受更多人的热情。”

作为火炬手，你如何表达自己的心情？
“每每想到那些热情、真诚的脸，我都告诉自己，圣火形式上的传递完成了，可是爱心、友谊和希望的传递，还将继续下去。”

The sea of people everywhere the torch arrived excited Dong Hongyou:" We are all exercises in the ways of handover and the kind of running attitude, but the warm atmosphere there make I forget all the preparations so the movements are all from hearts. I think the 100-meter distance is too short to feel more passion of people."

武汉最末棒体验武汉热情
火炬手：李小双
由于前往江滩观看圣火的市民过多，最后江滩路段的传递是在三峡石广场进行的，25名火炬手围成一圈，顺序相传，最后由李小双点燃圣火盆。
“在那种场景下，你想不激动都是不可能的。” 李小双说。作为最后一棒，他从5月31号早上6时集合后，几乎全程“跟踪”观看了武汉市民万人空巷争睹圣火的壮观景象，“真没想到，武汉民众对奥运这样狂热，我能感受到他们心中所充满的梦想与激情。”

作为湖北的奥运冠军，请你为湖北体育事业寄语？
我不仅仅关注火炬在武汉的传递，还要对湖北体操多尽自己的一些力量，是湖北培养我成为一名奥运冠军，所以只要湖北需要，我随时都会站出来。
同时，我也相信湖北体育的未来一定不可限量。
The last torchbearer experience enthusiasm of Wuhan
Torchbearer: Li Xiaoshuang Because too many people circled at Hanhow River Beach to watch the flame, the final transmission is held at the Three Gorges Stone Square, 25 torchbearers stand in a circle to relay the torch in turns and finally lit St. brazier by Li Xiaoshuang.

“I am not only concern about the torch relay in Wuhan but also will do more things for Hubei gymnastics with my own forces, I can be an Olympic champion relies on the foster of Hubei so I will always stand out at anytime Hubei need me.”

武汉小伙的两次奥运火炬缘
火炬手：孙巍

这是和奥运火炬手第二次结缘的阳光男孩。2004年，作为武汉理工大学机电学院在读研究生的孙巍被选为成为湖北地区的唯一火炬手，参加了雅典奥运会北京的火炬接力活动。
4年后，他再一次和火炬手结缘，在宜昌三峡传递奥运梦想。
对话：
在火炬接力的这段路程，你选择了什么样的方式？
我在传递之前跟我的前一棒、后一棒都设计了一些动作。比如我跟我的前一棒设计的就是，用手在头顶上围成一个心状，因为我们想把火炬的光明照亮每一个人民的心，特别传递当天是六一儿童节，我们的传递就显得特别有意义，希望把这个爱心传递给灾区的小朋友。另外我跟我的后一棒，就是我交接的那一棒，我的下一棒火炬手，我们是用手做了一个小的心，也是把爱心献给我们的小朋友，希望他们能够早日从困境中恢复过来，恢复正常的学习和生活，在以后的道路上茁壮的成长。
你会去北京看奥运吗？
8月份有可能不在国内。不过如果那时候没出国，一定会到北京看奥运的。说起来和奥运很有缘，因为我幸运的抽中了开幕式最高档位A档的门票一张，以及我很爱看的男足决赛A档，两场女排半决赛B档门票各一张。同时，我在北京还可以见到许多和我一样热爱奥运，为宣扬奥林匹克运动做出贡献的朋友们。

This is the second time Olympic torch relay to the sunshine boy. In 2004, Sun Wei as a graduate student from Electrical and Mechanical College of Wuhan University was selected to be the only torchbearer in Hubei Province to participate in the Athens Olympic Games torch relay in Beijing.
4 years later, he is again relay the Olympics dream in Yichang Three Gorges.

Which way do you choose in the journey of torch relay?
Before the relay I designed some gestures with the ones before and after me. With the former torchbearer we decided to circle a heart-shaped overhead to show the bright light of torch into every people's hearts, our relay are particular meaningful in that June 1 Children's Day, so we want to transfer the love to the children in disaster areas. In addition, the next one and I do a small heart with our hands for them and hope that they can recover and resume normal life and study from the difficulties as soon as possible to have a robust growth on future road.
Will you go to Peking to see the Olympics?
I might go abroad on August, however, if I didn’t at that time I am sure to Beijing to see the Olympic Games. And I have won an Opening Ceremony ticket of class A, two women's volleyball semifinals tickets of class B and a class-A-ticket of my favorite man football finals by drawing lots. At the same time, I can also meet some friends in Beijing who love and promote the Olympics like me.

人物素描：
石矗昭1926 年出生于四川涪陵，1945 年考入江津国立师范学校。1948年5月，他代表湖北队，参加旧中国举办的“第7届全国运动会”，夺得体操比赛男子单杠、双杠两项金牌。1956年，石矗昭被调到沙市体委工作后，精心培养体育人才，先后向省和国家输送了20多名体操、跳水等项目运动员。
